Privacy Policy

Patternd is an independent software product operated by Utku Özefe, Turkey. For privacy-related inquiries or to exercise your data rights, please contact us at support@patternd.co.

Account data: Your email address and authentication credentials (passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext; authentication is managed by Supabase Auth).

Trade data: Trade records you enter manually or import via CSV — including symbol, direction, entry/exit prices, P&L, position size, trade date, notes, screenshots, setup tags, emotional scores, and other metadata you choose to record.

Session and behavioral data: Energy scores, sleep scores, daily notes, and checklist responses you voluntarily log in the Service.

Exchange API keys: If you connect an exchange account, your API keys are encrypted with AES-256-CBC before storage and are used exclusively to read trade history — never to place orders or withdraw funds.

Payment data: Payment processing is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy. We store only your Lemon Squeezy customer ID and subscription status. We never receive, store, or have access to your full payment card details.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and page interaction data collected for security, performance monitoring, and fraud prevention purposes.

Communications: If you contact us for support, we retain your messages to resolve your request.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

• Contract performance: Processing necessary to provide the Service you have subscribed to (account data, trade data, payment data)
• Legitimate interests: Security monitoring, fraud prevention, product improvement based on aggregated usage
• Legal obligation: Compliance with applicable laws
• Consent: Optional features such as marketing emails (you may withdraw consent at any time)

• To create and manage your account
• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, billing receipts)
• To send product update and service notification emails (you may opt out of non-essential communications)
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• To respond to your support requests
• To analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve product features

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or trade data with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.

We do not use your trade data to train any machine learning models. All behavioral pattern analysis is rule-based and applied solely within your own account.

We share your data only with the following trusted service providers, strictly for the purpose of operating the Service:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (servers located in the EU or US depending on your region). Privacy Policy
• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing. Lemon Squeezy acts as the Merchant of Record, handling all payment compliance. Privacy Policy
• Vercel — application hosting and edge network. Privacy Policy
• Investing.com — the Economic Calendar feature embeds a widget from Investing.com (Fusion Media Limited). This widget is loaded directly from Investing.com's servers and may set its own cookies or collect technical data (such as IP address) according to their own privacy practices. Privacy Policy

We may also disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Patternd and its users.

We take the security of your data seriously:

• All data is transmitted over TLS (HTTPS)
• Database data is encrypted at rest
• Exchange API keys are additionally encrypted with AES-256-CBC before storage
• Row-Level Security (RLS) policies in our database ensure users can only access their own data — not other users' data
• Authentication is managed by Supabase Auth with industry-standard security practices

Despite our efforts, no security system is impenetrable. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by applicable law within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

• Your data is marked for deletion immediately
• Complete removal from all systems occurs within 30 days
• Backups may retain data for up to an additional 30 days before being overwritten
• Certain records may be retained longer if required by law (e.g., billing records for tax compliance)

We use only essential cookies required for the Service to function — specifically authentication session cookies set by Supabase. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies of our own. A limited exception applies to the optional Economic Calendar widget, which loads a third-party script from Investing.com — see our Cookie Policy for details.

Patternd is operated from Turkey. If you are located in Turkey, your personal data is also processed in accordance with Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"), in addition to the rest of this Policy.

İşlenen Kişisel Veriler ve Amaçları: The categories of personal data described in Section 2 above (account, trade, session, payment, technical, and communications data) are processed for the purposes described in Section 4, on the basis of your explicit consent, the performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interests, in line with KVKK Articles 5 and 6.

Aktarım (Transfers): Your data may be transferred to the service providers listed in Section 5, some of which are located outside Turkey. Where required by KVKK, such transfers rely on your explicit consent or another applicable legal basis for cross-border transfer.

KVKK Madde 11 Hakları: Under KVKK Article 11, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, request information about such processing, learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, know the third parties to whom data is transferred, request rectification of incomplete or inaccurate data, request erasure or destruction of your data, request notification of the above to third parties to whom data has been transferred, object to the emergence of a result against you by analysis of data exclusively through automated systems, and request compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing.

Your data may be stored and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States and European Union. We rely on our service providers' compliance mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international data transfers under GDPR.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Portability: Request your trade data in a machine-readable format (CSV export available in-app)
• Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data
• Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Withdraw consent: Opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link or account settings

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@patternd.co. We will respond within 30 days. EU/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

Patternd is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
